Professor MA Jianzhong, a member of the College of Light Industry Science and Engineering, has been working on key technologies for functional Nano-materials for many years, and has made important progress in Nano-materials and functional Nano-composites. Recently, Prof. MA Jianzhong and Prof. LIN Zhiqun from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Prof. Peng Juan from Fudan University jointly published the article“Lead-Free Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals: CrystalStructures, Synthesis, Stabilities and Optical Properties"”in the international journal of the international chemical industry "Angewandte Chemie International Edition", (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., DOI: 10.1002/anie.201904862.). Our univeristy is the first unit of the thesis. FAN Qianqian, a doctoral student at the College of Light Industry Science and Engineering, is the first author of the thesis.

"Angewandte Chemie International Edition" is one of the most influential publications in the international chemistry field. The current impact factor is 12.102, Top Journal, JCR 1 District of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This is the first time that our university has published a paper in the journal with the first unit. The publication of this paper has greatly enhanced the influence of our school in the field of chemical academic research.

In 2014, the first discovery of halide perovskite nanocrystals attracted global attention. However, conventional halide perovskite nanocrystals often contain toxic elemental lead, thereby limiting their further commercial application. Under such circumstances, lead-free halide perovskite nanocrystals, which can avoid the use of toxic metal elements and retain the excellent characteristics of perovskites, have emerged. However, the related research reports on lead-free halide perovskite nanocrystals lack systematic and in-depth data, leading to slow progress in the research of such materials at this stage. Based on this, Professor Ma Jianzhong's team conducted a systematic and in-depth study of the current series of lead-free halide perovskite nanocrystals, and combined with the team-related research foundation, in this paper, lead-free halide perovskite nanocrystals The crystal structure, stability, optical properties, preparation methods and latest applications have been comprehensively introduced. For the "controversial" stability and optical performance problems, the stability of lead-free halide perovskite nanocrystals was systematically analyzed for the first time, and also the mechanism of influence of optical properties, and in-depth discussion on how to improve its stability and optical performance. The publication of this paper is expected to provide strong theoretical guidance and reference for the subsequent in-depth research and development of this kind of materials.
