Speaker's profile:

Anna-Lena Kjøniksen, Ph.D., Professor and PhD Supervisor, School of Engineering, University of Osterford, Norway. Graduated from the Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo, Norway in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical chemistry; graduated from the Department of Chemistry of the University of Oslo in 1996 with a master degree in science, majored in physical chemistry; graduated from the Department of Chemistry with a Ph.D. With physics major. From 1999 to 2002, he worked as a patent examiner at the Norwegian Patent Office and a researcher at the University of Oslo from 2002 to 2012. Since 2012 he has been a professor at the School of Engineering, University of Osterford, Norway.

Long-term commitment to water-soluble associative polymer systems (including hydrogels, polymer-based nanoparticles, associative thickeners, environmental stimulus response systems, polymer-surfactant interactions, and polymers in inorganic nanoparticles Research on adsorption, etc.). Focus on the research of different polymer systems in the fields of controlled drug delivery, gene delivery, nanomedicine, enhanced oil recovery, water purification and energy technology. A large research project is currently being hosted: adding microcapsules containing phase change materials to concrete to obtain a new type of building material that has excellent thermal energy storage capacity while maintaining its structural strength. He also chaired a research project in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop new geopolymer concrete for the moon. So far, he has published more than 140 SCI academic articles in professional core journals such as Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Macromolecles, Biomacromolecules, Langmuir, Soft Matter, Journal Physical Chemistry B, International Journal of Pharmaceutics, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces.
