In 2019, the ACM-ICPC International College Student Programming Contest was held in Xi'an. Under the guidance of the instructor QI Yong, the students of College of Electronic Information and Artificial Intelligence, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, LIN Huawei, YANG Yang and ZUO Yunfan won the bronze medal in the Asian regional competition and won another honor for our university.

The ACM-ICPC International College Student Programming Contest is recognized as the largest and highest level of international student programming competition in the year. It is the 30 major items listed in the 2018 "China University Innovative Talents Training and Subject Competition Evaluation Results". The top ranked important events in the event. Since our school organized the ACM-ICPC competition in 2014, we have achieved a steady improvement in results every year. In 2015, we won the third prize in the ACM-ICPC competition in Shaanxi Province. In 2016, we won the Silver Award in the ACM-ICPC competition in Shaanxi Province, ranking first among provincial universities. In 2017, we were qualified to participate in the Asian Regional Tournament for the first time. In 2018, we won the ACM-ICPC National Bronze Award and the Asian Regional Bronze Award.

In 2019, ACM-ICPC National Competition has 150 colleges and universities nationwide and 330 teams participated. Our school ranks 87th in the country, 8th in the province and 3rd in the provincial universities.

Under the leadership of Mr. QI Yong from the College of Electronic Information and Artificial Intelligence of SUST, LIN Huawei, YANG Yang and ZUO Yunfan won the National Bronze Award after five hours of hard work.
